“Tradistica, that’s me… Orane Desnos, an English and Spanish to French translator specialising in Music and Live Performing Arts. Benefiting from my extensive experience in technical and marketing translation as well as my high-calibre artistic education, I make it a personal priority to support you throughout your entire project and meet your very specific linguistic needs.”
A PROFESSIONAL TRANSLATOR
I graduated in 2016 from Rennes 2 University (France) and I have a Master in Translation, Localisation and Multilingual and Multimedia Communication Professions.
I worked for two years in a world-famous translation agency, which enabled me to gain valuable experience both in translation and linguistic project management.
I work as a freelance translator since August 2018 and I launched my trademark “Tradistica” dedicated to Music and Live Performing Arts professionals in 2019.
AN ACCOMPLISHED MUSICIAN
I studied transverse flute, musical training, musical analysis, chamber music (classical and baroque music) and traverso at the Regional Conservatory of Rennes, as well as piano at the Music School of Dinan.
I graduated in chamber music in 2011 and in transverse flute in 2012.
I played in various ensembles: symphonic orchestra, concert band, sonata ensemble, flute orchestra, Arabic music band, flute/accordion duet.
A CITIZEN OF THE WORLD
Fond of travelling and discovering new cultures, I completed several long stays abroad:
- 2 months in Puerto Vallarta (Mexico)
- 1 year in Barcelona (Spain) – ERASMUS year + internship at a translation agency
- 5 months in Montreal (Canada) – internship at a subtitling agency
Thanks to these language immersions, I developed crucial cultural knowledge related to my working languages, enabling me to offer you localised translation services for content that will resonate with your audience.
